Voronezh anteclise

VORONEZH ANTECLISE (RU: Воронежская антеклиза) is the protrusion of the pre-Cambrian basement of the Eastern European craton within the basin of the Don river. The anteclise is overlain by the rocks of the Devonian, Cretaceous, and Jurassic systems. There are confined to the formations of the Lower Proterozoic within the western part of the anteclise the depositions of the iron ores of the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly. There are associated with the intrusive basic massifs of the basement the manifestations of the copper-nickel ores, and there are associated with the Devonian strata the oolitic iron ores, and the ilmenite-containing sandstones.
