"Strong breathing" of reservoir

"STRONG BREATHING" of reservoir (EN: "strong breathing" of a reservoir; DE: "Atmen" eines Behalters; FR: "grande respiration" du reservoir de petrole; ES: "respiracion fuerte" del deposito; RU: "большое дыхание" резервуара) is the process of moving the air and vapour-aerial mixtures within the reservoirs for the storage of the easily evaporating liquids (petroleum products, and others) during their complete emptying ("inhalation") and filling ("exhalation").

During the "inhalation", there arrives into the reservoir via the breathing valve the air, which saturates itself with the vapours of the liquid, which is stored within the reservoir, and during the "exhalation" the vapour-aerial mixture is displaced into the atmosphere. If there is maintained within the reservoir the pressure, which only slightly differs from the atmospheric pressure, then the quantity of the displaced vapour-aerial mixture is approximately equal to the volume of the liquid, which has arrived into the reservoir. In case of the high pressure, part of the vapour-aerial mixture is compressed, and remains within the reservoir, till the pressure inside would reach the value, for which the breathing valve has been calculated.
