Hopper for reloading

HOPPER FOR RELOADING (EN: conveyer hopper, transfer bin; DE: Umladebunker; FR: bunker-transbordeur; ES: tolva-transbordador; RU: бункер-перегружатель) is the movable underground accumulating installation for the loading of the rock mass, which is breaked off the massif by the combined cutter-loader machine, into the underground transport means.

They use the hopper for reloading together with the tunneling or extracting combined cutter-loader machine, and with the self-propelled railway carriage, for the increasing of the tempos for the conducting of the mine workings or of the chambers. The hopper for reloading comprises the open-box bed with the side-boards, the two-chain scraper bottom conveyor with the electrical mover, and the non-self-propelled chassis, which is equipped with the anterior and posterior axles (the latter axle is connected pivotally with the base). The hopper for reloading is also equipped with the fan, which is cleaning the air within the zone for the loading into the open-box bed. In the working position, the hopper for reloading if linked with the combined cutter-loader machine, and moves together with this machine. The rock mass from the combined cutter-loader machine arrives into the open-box bed of the hopper for reloading; by using the periodic activation of the bottom conveyor, there is ensured the complete loading of the hopper for reloading, and the unloading of the rock masses into the railway carriage; the time for the unloading is 50-80 seconds.

Within the USSR, they issue the hoppers for reloading with the volume capacity of 11.5 cubic metres (BP-2) and 13.8 cubic metres (BP-3). The perfecting of the hoppers for reloading is conducted in the direction for the creation of the two-part self-propelled installations with the increased volume capacity of the hopper.
