Coal industry automation institute

COAL INDUSTRY AUTOMATION INSTITUTE (EN: Giprougleavtomatizatsiya; RU: Гипроуглеавтоматизация) of the Ministry of the Coal Industry of the USSR is located in Moscow.

It has been created in 1953. The main scientific orientation is: the creation of the automated control systems for the technological processes, of the equipment and systems for the automatization and automatic adjustment of the modes of operation for the stationary, transport, and technological equipment, and for the production-technological communications, and their introduction at the coal mines, open pits, and benefication factories.

The Institute comprises (1982): 8 departments, 4 offices, 3 experimental laboratories, and the series of the support services. There are the subsidiary in Voroshilovgrad, and the experimental plant in Donetsk.
