BRONNIKOV, Dmitry Mikhailovich

BRONNIKOV, Dmitry Mikhailovich (RU: Бронников, Дмитрий Михайлович) is the Soviet scientist in the field of the mining science, the corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1979). He is the member of the CPSU since the 1944. He has graduated from the Moscow institute for the nonferrous metals and gold (1936). Since the 1951, he works at the institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR; since the 1977, he was the deputy director, and since the 1981, he is the director of the IPKON of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. He has founded the scientific direction in the field of the operation of the ore depositions at the great depths. He has been awarded with the Governmental Prize of the USSR (1979) for the creation of the new technology for the development of the ores within the Norilsk ore region.
