BAGIRZADE, Faik Mamed oglu

BAGIRZADE, Faik Mamed oglu (RU: Багирзаде, Фаик Мамед оглы) is the Soviet geologist, the corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijanian SSR (1976). He is the member of the CPSU since the 1957. He is the candidate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, the deputy of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijanian SSR since the 1971. After the graduation during the 1949 from the Azerbaijanian industrial institute (now the Azerbaijanian institute of petroleum and chemistry named after M.Azizbekov), he worked there at the same place. Since the 1970, he is the rector of the Azerbaijanian state university, and since the 1972, he is the chairman of the Council of the rectors of the institutions for the higher education of Azerbaijan.

There have been conducted by Bagirzade the comprehensive geological-geochemical researches on the study of the issues of the forming of the Middle Pliocene reservoirs of petroleum and gas within the South Caspian depression, have been determined the regularities of the spatial variation of the properties of the petroleums and gases within the multi-layered marine fields, have been researched the issues of the mud volcanism.
