Antioxidants for drilling

ANTIOXIDANTS for drilling (EN: antioxidantes; DE: Antioxydationsmittel, Antioxydanzien, Oxydationsverzogerer; FR: antioxydants, antioxygenes; ES: antioxidantes; RU: антиоксиданты) are the synthetic and natural substances, which are increasing the stability of chemical reagents of the drilling fluid during the action of oxygen within the conditions of high temperatures: phenols, naphthols, amines, aminophenols, sulfides, phosphorus-organic products, and also certain wood-chemical and petroleum products.

At the stage of preparation of the drilling fluid (carboxymethylcellulose), they use phenol, aniline, ethanolamine, the optimal additions of which amount to 0.5-1.0%. They use for the direct injection into the drilling fluid the one percent additions of the phenol-containing wood-chemical products (nitrolignin, lignosulfonate reagents) in combination with starch, carboxymethylcellulose, acrylic reagents. There also provide antioxidic action the oil and petroleum products, which are emulsified into the drilling fluid (oxidized petrolatum, and others), wastes of the oil-fat production (soapstocks, gosipolovy tar); the optimal additions are 1-2%.
