Anthraxolites

ANTHRAXOLITES (EN: anthraxolites; DE: Antraxolite; FR: antraxolites; ES: antraxolitas; RU: антраксолиты) is the group of the solid carbonaceous compounds, which are insoluble within the organic solvents, and are composed primarily of carbon (95-100%). They are similar to anthracites, according to their composition and certain properties. The density is 1300-2000 kilograms per cubic metre.

Anthraxolite represent themselves as the products of the strong (lower anthraxolites) and very strong (higher anthraxolites) metamorphic change of the oils. There belong to anthraxolites also the veinous varieties of shungite. Anthraxolites, which are beneficiated with sulfur, are named kiskeites.
