ALLITES (from the English word "aluminium" and the Greek word "lithos" stone * EN: allite; DE: Allite; FR: allite; ES: alitas; RU: аллиты)

1) the products of the weathering, which are consisting primarily of the aluminium hydroxides.

2) The clayish rocks, in which the content of the alumina exceeds the content of the silica, the rock of the intermediate composition between the kaolin clay and the bauxite. The high content of the alumina determines the possibility of the usage of the allites in the production of the aluminosilicate refractory products.
