Alizade, Ali Ashraf Abdul Hussein oglu

ALIZADE, Ali Ashraf Abdul Hussein oglu (RU: Ализаде, Али Ашраф Абдул ГуAlizade, Ali Ashraf Abdul Hussein ogluсейн-оглы) is the soviet geologist, the academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR (since 1945). He is the member of the CPSU since 1940. He was the deputy of the Supreme Council of the USSR in 1946-50. After graduating in 1935 from the Azerbaijan Industrial Institute (now the AzINEFTEHIM, named after Azizbekov), he worked in the "Aznefterazvedka" group of the enterprises (he was the manager in 1939-42). He worked in 1942-46 at the party job, he was in 1944-46 the 2nd secretary of the Central Commitee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan. He was in 1946-48 the director of the "Azneft" and "Aznefterazvedka" productive consortia. He worked since 1949 at the scientific and educational job in the institutions of the Azerbaijan SSR (in 1959-77, he was the director of the Azerbaijan scientific-research institute for the extraction of the oil, and of the Azerbaijan state scientific-research and design institute of the oil industry).

Alizade is the author of the series of the geological and tectonic maps, and also of the map of the oil and gas resources of Azerbaijan, he is one of the initiators of the system of the development of the oil fields of Azerbaijan by the underground mining method. He has been awarded with the State prize of the USSR for the research and development of the new oil fields (in 1943), for the creation of the small-sized electrical perforator for the oil industry (in 1946).
