Alimov, Oleg Dmitrievich

ALIMOV, Oleg Dmitrievich (RU: Алимов, Олег Дмитриевич) is the soviet sciAlimov, Oleg Dmitrievichentist in the field of the mining science, the academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR (since 1974; the corresponding member since 1961). He is the member of the CPSU since 1951. He is the deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR since 1978. He is the member of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR since 1979. After the graduation from the Tomsk Polytechnical Institute (in 1949), he worked in the same place. He was in 1965-70 the director of the Institute of the physics and mechanics of the rocks of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR. He is since 1974 the chief learned secretary of the Presidium, he is since 1978 the vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR.

He is one of the creators of the scientific school of thought in the field of the mining engineering. He has substantiated the rational parameters of the designs of the drilling machines, of the complex apparatuses for the working of the mining raises, of the machines for the development of the frozen soils; he has proposed the computations and designs of the reinforced impulsive systems for the drilling machines. He has been awarded with the State prize of the Kyrgyz SSR (in 1976) for the "Scientific fundamentals of the computation, design, and operation of the drilling equipment" series of the publications.
