Aleurolite

ALEUROLITE (from the Greek words "aleuron", which means "flour", and "litAleurolitehos", which means "stone" * EN: aleurolite, siltstone; DE: Sandschiefer; FR: aleurolite, pelite; ES: pelita; RU: алевролит) is the cemented sedimentary rock, which is formed by more than 50% of the particles of the aleurite variety (0.01-0.1 millimetres or 0.005-0.05 millimetres).

It is used as the raw material for the production of the cement (clay component) and expanded clay. See the Clays article.
