Aggregated roof support equipment
AGGREGATED ROOF SUPPORT EQUIPMENT (EN: aggregated support; DE: mechanischer Ausbau; FR: soutenement mecanise; ES: entibacion mecanizada; RU: агрегатная крепь) is the mechanized roof support equipment of the (longwall) clearing mining workings, which comprises the kinematically linked together individual elements (sections).
It is mainly used at the coal mines; it works in the USSR in the 86% of the (longwall) clearing stopes with the mechanized roof support equipment. The main components of the section of the aggregate roof support equipment are: the foundation, the barrier, the ceiling, the struts, the hydraulic jack for the movement (Fig. 1). The moveable connection of the section with the foundation of the support equipment, of the conveyor, or of the beam (the M-87 support equipment, etc.) is ensured with the help of the hydraulic jacks, and together one with another by the special connections (for example, the tongue and groove joints between the ceilings in the M-81, M-130 support equipment). The movement of the sections of the aggregate roof support equipment (and the conveyor) to the face of the stope is performed with the help of the jacks according to one of the three plans of actions: the sections are moved sequentially one at a time (Fig. 2a) after the passage of the combine (the M-87 support equipment, of the OKP, MK and other types); after the passage of the combine, first the sections 1 are moved (Fig. 2b), followed by the sections 2 (the M-81, M-130 support equipment); after the extraction of the coal for the distance of the moving step of the support equipment (Fig. 2c), every third (lagging) section 1 is moved at the same time (the frontal mining apparatus of the AK3 type). After the movement to the face of the stope, they push apart every section between the roof and the soil.
The aggregate roof support equipment, in comparison with the extraction of the coal with the individual metal support equipment, ensures the increase of the work load for the stope and the productivity of the work by 1.5-2 times. The main directions of the improvement of the aggregate roof support equipment are the raising of the technical level and of the quality, the improvement of the design plans and parameters.
