African tectonic plate

AFRICAN TECTONIC PLATE (RU: Африканская платформа), African-Arabian tectonic plate, is one of the most ancient (pre-Cambrian) tectonically stable structures of the Earth's crust, which is occupying the continent of Africa (without the Atlas and Cape Mountains), the Arabian peninsula (without the mountains of Oman), and the Madagascar island with the Seychelles islands. About the geological structure and useful minerals, see within the "Africa" article.
